Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are now open and can close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the following requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house by using a combined gross house income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family earnings will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want nsfas status not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the click here missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the proper Identity Document numbers, names, nsfas application and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
